Chowkalani is an important ritual in Hindu Brahmin marriages where in the Groom’s Mother is honoured for her sacrifices done so far for the good of her very first Son. Till the day of marriage of her Son, she has to follow some strict rules specified in the religious scriptures.

Saree, Chatri/Umbrella, Morada Baagina, Jewellry including Green bangles etc. A special Wooden Stool having 3 Legs is made to make her sit on the same and honour her with all these things and Aarati.
