ANTARAPATA is a very sacred prop used in Marriages and Munjavi/Upanayana.

Mangalaashtaka is chanted with ANTARAPATA in between the Vatu and his Father. This Antarapata is held for both to focus on the AUM/Om or the Almighty and meditate for the own prosperity in his Student life with following Brahmacharya as per Brahmopadesha.
